On this Solemnity of the Epiphany of the Lord, we remember the gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh, presented to the child Jesus by the Magi. Through them the Savior of the world was revealed to the entire world. He is THE gift we celebrate every Christmas season.
Following the 11 AM Mass on Sunday, we will begin our 40 hours devotions. Fr. Ted Keating, pastor of Seven Sorrows Parish, Middletown, will be our guest homilist all 3 nights at 7 PM in the new church. Please, make the effort to attend. The Eucharist is the source and summit of our faith and at every Mass we experience another epiphany as Jesus comes to us under the appearance of bread and wine. During periods of Eucharistic Adoration we have the opportunity to thank the Lord for this gift in person and to offer ourselves and our time as a sacrificial gift in return. I hope many of you will take advantage of these blessed days in the life of our parish.
Peace, Fr. Steve
