On January 3, DC Gohn submitted the sketch plan of our building project to Mt. Joy Township. On Jan 23, Fr. Steve and others attended the Planning Commission meeting to formally present the sketch plan. There were a few general comments and questions from the members, and overall the plan was well received. There is no action on our part taken for this sketch plan. Next, final land development plans are being prepared for submission. As this approval process moves forward, other items that are required are being addressed. Over the next week or so, a geologist will complete test borings in the area of the expansion and storm water testing will be conducted.
Concurrently, the capital campaign has begun and support parish-wide is coming in the form of time, talent and treasure. As February begins to unfold, a formal introduction of the campaign and all the related activities will be presented parish-wide.
As the actual process of “building” takes into account many facets, we remain on target with our original goals! Keep in mind that the Building Committee meets bi-weekly and continues to work through and iron out all of the many items that need addressed in a process as extensive as this.
Please continue your prayers for our continued success not only for a smooth building process but also for the success of our capital campaign!
