Social Justice Committee

This committee educates and evangelizes by sharing and spreading the rich social principles and documents of the Catholic Church. Contemporary cultural and social issues present new challenges which need to be addressed with wisdom and the light of the Gospel. This committee will help our parish and parishioners explore the rich tradition of the social doctrine of the Church and reflect on these modern challenges in light of the Church’s teachings.

St Peter Men’s Club

Saint Peter Men’s Club, organized in 1994, has a membership of 104. Our mission is to provide help and assistance for the parish family with the talents we have available within our members. “Fun and Friendship” is the theme that we promote as we look to grow toward the future. Membership is open to all male parishioners 18 years and older.

Parish Nurse Program

The parish nurse is a Pastoral Partner – aiding and assisting the pastor in assessing the health and spiritual status of our parish community and providing services and compassion when needed. The parish nurse does not provide “hands-on” care or act in the place of a parishioner’s regular healthcare provider.

Inclusion Ministry

The Inclusion Ministry works primarily to support those in the parish who have disabilities or special needs. We attempt to work with all members/organizations of the church to insure that all may participate in the life of the church to the fullness they wish, whether it be during Mass or social or spiritual activities. We also provide learning opportunities to create awareness of the gifts and needs of those with disabilities and to help create a more inclusive environment.

History and Archives

Responsibilities of the History and Archives ministry include preserving sacramental records, maintaining records of parish ministries and organizations, collecting and identifying photographs, collecting and preserving parish-related sacred goods and historical artifacts, responding to genealogy requests, maintaining the display cases, and sharing information about our history. All parishioners are invited to become involved with this ministry.

Bereavement Ministry

The Bereavement Ministry Team is committed to providing physical, emotional, and spiritual support and comfort to individuals and families in the parish who have lost loved ones.
