Youth

St. Peter Youth Ministry

Youth Ministry provides social, spiritual and service activities for youth in grades 6-12. Programs are oriented toward all youth regardless of their individual maturity of faith. Programs are generally separated into Jr. High and Sr. High levels. There are no regularly set meetings except for those in leadership roles. Youth are free to attend activities as they wish as all young people are considered part of the "youth group".

Handmaidens

St. Peter Handmaidens are looking for girls in grades 5 through 8 to join us on the first Sunday of each month for fun, fellowship, and service projects as we grow in our knowledge and love of the Blessed Virgin Mary. We have games, activities and parties. We also go Christmas shopping, make and decorate eggs at Easter time, collect items for the Christmas Child Project, and so much more!

Contemporary Youth Music

The Youth Contemporary Music Ministry is a group of kids from 5th to 12th
grade who like to sing or would like to learn to sing. It is also open to violinists, guitarists, bassists, flautists, and percussionists. We provide music for liturgy at St. Peter's about twice a month and also provide music for liturgy for other groups who request us. We practice most Thursday
evenings from 6:30 to 8:00 at the church. If you are in some other activity and could only join us for part of the year, we would still love to have you. We are a laid back, easygoing group and like to have fun. Please join us!

Children’s Choir

Children's Choir This year Children's Choir is open to all children in our parish who are in grades 2 through 8. We come together to sing and lead the congregations in song in order to better participate in the Eucharistic celebration of the mass, which is the reason for our faith. We share our faith and love of Jesus with each other and work towards spiritual communion through the music, which supports the liturgy. Our masses this fall are on Saturday’s 5PM mass on the following dates: September 11, October 9, November 12, and December 18. We meet at 4:00 pm to practice before mass. Please contact Liz Pfautz 367-3366 or Elie Schmidt 361-7721 if interested.
