St. Peter Columbarium - St. Peter Cemetery
Spaces are still available in the new columbarium in St. Peter Cemetery - both single and tandem units. Current pre-need pricing offers a nice savings compared to at-need pricing. A 10 month no-interest plan is still an option to parishioners. As cremation is an acceptable form of burial, the St. Peter Columbarium offers a dignified resting place for cremains. By taking care of this item before a death occurs, your family is saved the stressful moments that would ensue at the time of one's passing. Pre=planning is indeed a smart, thoughtful choice for all. Please call the parish office or stop by for informational materials that are available.
Building Project Update
BUILDING COMMITTEE – This past Tuesday the committee met with the DBC (Diocesan Building Committee) for the last time. As there were a few brand new members to that Diocesan group, we had to review some of the items that were previously addressed when we began this process over two years ago. As our builder and architect regularly join us for these meetings, we were in a good position to address all the comments that came up. Concurrent with the Diocesan process is the nuts and bolts of having all the appropriate approvals, permits, etc. with the township. That process, too, is nearing finality. As we await the DBC final approval, the next meeting will be with the Bishop’s College of Consultors on July 11. Continue to pray for our ongoing success in both our capital campaign and the approval process.
Men of the Parish: Leadership is Needed - THAT MAN IS YOU!
THAT MAN IS YOU! - a spiritual program for the men of our parish. Many parishes in our diocese and across the nation are involved in this spiritual program. This program is geared for the everyday man juggling everyday issues. That Man is You! honestly addresses the pressures and temptations that men face in our modern culture, especially those relating to their roles as husbands and fathers. The program harmonizes current social and medical science with the teachings of the Church and the wisdom of the saints to develop the vision of man fully alive. It is particularly indebted to the teachings of the Second Vatican Council and Pope John Paul II. http://www.paradisusdei.org/ check out the link for answers; Contact Father Steve or Joseph Barone 367-9761 with questions and if you are interested.
There still exists many stewardship opportunities available here in our parish to utilize the many talents and capabilities that God has given each of us. Please prayerfully consider where you may be of assistance. Currently, there is a need for additional crew of "God's Houskeepers" , Eucharistic ministers, ushers as well as altar servers. Don't be shy!
