2022-2023 OCIA

Looking for opportunities to learn about the
Roman Catholic Church?
Have you been coming to Mass with a friend/family member and feel pulled toward Christ when others go forward to receive Him in the Eucharist?
Want to know how Catholics find joy?
The OCIA team would like to extend a heartfelt invitation to anyone who has been hearing a call from the Lord to meet Him more intimately, in the Church He founded.

The 2022-2023 OCIA session has started and we meet on Mondays!

Contact the parish office or Vicky Kern at kpts@comcast.net, 717-439-7955 for more information.

OCIA TESTIMONY

What is OCIA?

“The Order of Christian Initiation . . . is designed for adults who, after hearing the mystery of Christ proclaimed, consciously and freely seek the living God and enter the way of faith and conversion as the Holy Spirit opens their hearts. By God’s help they will be strengthened spiritually during their preparation and at the proper time will receive the sacraments fruitfully.” (OCIA, 1)

The Order of Christian Initiation for Adults is offered from September through Spring in weekly classes that include instruction, discernment, prayer and discussion. We are a great place to find out more about the Catholic Church and to receive support on your personal journey toward God!  We are open to all non-Catholics, and anyone who did not receive all of their sacraments of initiation - Baptism, Holy Communion and Confirmation. A family member or friend is welcome to accompany you as a companion through the process. Please contact the office or Vicky Kern, OCIA Coordinator at kpts@comcast.net for more information at any time of year.

All are welcome, Mondays at 7:00pm, Room #5 in the Church

For inquiries or questions contact Vicky Kern at 717-439-7955 or the Parish Office 717-367-1255
